Fantastic French Toast Casserole


3 Cups Sugar or Stevia
1 1/2 Cups Butter
1 1/2 Cups Cream (Whipping cream)
2 pinches salt
1/2 tsp vanilla

Bring these ingredients to a boil 3-5 minutes while stirring.

Cut up 2 loaves of bread (you can use the crust or remove, personal preference)
Put cubed bread in 1 rectangular pan sprayed with Pam.
Reserve 1/3 of the "boiled syrup"

To the rest of the syrup add:
1 package 8 oz cream cheese
2 tsp cinnamon
Melt and pour over bread.

Meanwhile take...
12 eggs
1 Cup of Half and Half and whisk until blended. Pour evenly over the bread.
Cover and store overnight in the fridge.

Bake the next morning at 350 for 30 min uncovered.
You can use the remainder of the syrup for dipping.
Thank you to my Mom for this wonderfully low cal breakfast. Fun to serve when you have overnight company.
